-Murti kale rang ki thi.
-Murti ka paridhan Videshi paridhan tha.
-Murti ke ek hath me Taraju aur dusare hath me Talwar thi.( Talwar jo Shakti ka pratik hai sath me hinsa ka bhi pratik tha)
__________
Leki ab :
Nyaydevi ki murti -
-Bhartiy kala se inspired hai.Use yaha Nyaydevata kahate the.
-Murti Safed rang ki hai.
-Murti ka paridhan purnata deshi paridhan saree hai.
-Murti ke ek hath me Taraju aur dusare hath me Sanvidhan hai.
( Taraju ye darshata hai Nyay hamesha dono paksho ko sunakar hi kiya jata hai.

In India, the law is no longer blind. Over time, significant changes have occurred in the representation of the symbol of justice, reflecting the evolving judicial perspective.
**Earlier:**
The statue of the goddess of justice was entirely influenced by foreign elements. It was inspired by **Roman art**, where it was known as "Justicia." The statue was traditionally **black in color**, symbolizing mourning and darkness. This color perhaps suggested that justice could be mysterious and elusive.
The attire of the statue also bore a foreign influence. The goddess of justice wore a **foreign garment**, which did not align with Indian culture and traditions. The statue held **two significant symbols** - a scale in one hand and a sword in the other.
- The **scale** has long symbolized justice, as it represents balance and impartiality. It showed that justice could only be achieved when both sides were weighed equally.
- The **sword** represented the power of justice, but it also symbolized violence and punishment. It suggested that justice involved strength and retribution.
This portrayal of justice was one that associated justice with power and fear, rather than with sensitivity or constitutional values.
**But now:**
Times have changed, and with them, the concept of justice in India has evolved. The statue of the goddess of justice is now entirely inspired by **Indian art**. This reflects Indian values and traditions, and in India, the goddess was once known as **Nyaydevata** (the deity of justice), aligning the judicial outlook with India’s cultural heritage.
The statue of the goddess of justice is now **white in color**, representing purity, innocence, and truth. The white color symbolizes that justice is impartial and driven by integrity. It portrays justice as pure, transparent, and always on the side of truth.
The statue’s attire is now entirely Indian. The goddess of justice is dressed in a **sari**, representing the dignity and culture of Indian womanhood. This change signifies the increasing importance of Indian culture and values in the country’s judicial outlook.
The most significant transformation is that while the statue still holds the **scale**, representing balance and impartiality, the other hand now holds the **Constitution**, replacing the sword.
- The **Constitution** indicates that India’s justice system no longer operates through violence or brute strength, but is now grounded in **constitutional principles** and the rule of law. It emphasizes that justice is now delivered in accordance with the Constitution, not through the force of the sword.
This change reflects that justice in India today is based on sensitivity, constitutionalism, and fairness. It signals a shift towards a judicial system where justice is not merely a tool for punishment, but a symbol of societal reform.
